A deposit of $1,000.00 is required within 7 days of booking to secure your reservation.
The deposit paid will secure your hire, booking dates and covers the bond required for the boat. When you arrive at King Ash Bay your Houseboat will be fully fuelled and ready to go.
You can use the fuel on the Houseboat to fill your boats while you are out on the river system, this saves you coming back and forward filling Jerry Cans etc. If you run out of fuel while you are on your hire, we are more than happy to bring additional fuel down to your boat.
Once you return back to KAB, we will dip the boat to assess how much fuel has been used and calculate the usage at the going price per litre at the time we purchased the fuel (usually within 24 - 48 hours prior to your hire start date). The fuel cost comes out of the Deposit paid, the difference will either be refunded via direct debit, or you may be required to pay more due to the fuel costs atm or the amount of fuel used while you're down the river.
Please note: While this cancellation policy is commonly adopted by most houseboat owners, individual owners may have their own specific policies. If you cancel within 120 days of your departure date, all payments made will be forfeited.
You can commence your hire @ 2pm (unless it is ready earlier) and return at 09.00am on your departure date

Your vehicles will be parked in our workshop yard and will be returned to you on the day of your arrival back. Please note that your vehicles are parked at your own risk, and we do not accept liability for them while they are on our premises.
On days 3 or 4, either Scott or Damon will contact you via radio during their rubbish run to check if you need fuel and to see how everything is going with your trip.
